Bourgonje Creates Cutting-Edge Immersive Experience Center for Randstad
Selecting ROE Visual LED Screens for the Installation
Leek, the Netherlands (3 August 2023) – Randstad, the global leader in the HR services industry, has proudly unveiled its state-of-the-art immersive experience center at its headquarters in Diemen, located close to Amsterdam. This innovative space serves as a fully equipped XR studio, empowering Randstad to generate real-time virtual worlds for captivating and impactful online experiences. Bourgonje selected ROE Visual LED panels as a central part of this innovative studio.
The experience center was designed to support the organic creation of meaningful connections between new talent, clients, and Randstad employees, virtually or in person. The combination of its impressive size and cutting-edge technology utilized in the project makes this venue a genuinely exceptional installation, poised to redefine the benchmark in the corporate world.
By leveraging live broadcasts and recordings, Randstad employees can delve into innovative and inspirational avenues, pushing the boundaries of what's achievable in HR services. With sufficient room to comfortably host 180 visitors and the option to add a virtually unlimited number of online viewers, the experience center offers a multi-disciplinary venue for Randstad. The ability to seamlessly display informative and high-resolution graphics and video content across a large surface area will support presenters to visualize complex topics and stimulate engaging discussions.
The Dutch AV service provider Bourgonje acted as the primary technical system integrator for this groundbreaking corporate installation, using a plethora of high-end AV brands to furnish the studio. Sebastiaan Genz, the project designer for Bourgonje, commends Randstad's creative vision, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to work with clients who are resolute in their pursuit of setting new benchmarks in corporate presentations.
Having worked with ROE Visual LED products on several projects, there was no doubt ROE Visual could supply the ideal LED canvas for this project. "We selected the ROE Visual Ruby LED panels for this job due to their strong and immaculate machined frames, resulting in a flawless canvas. The LED offers an excellent viewing angle, high color accuracy, and uniformity. On top of that, ROE Visual is a very reliable server partner who supports us all the way through a project such as this", comments Victor Kortekaas, project manager for Bourgonje. "We choose HELIOS LED processing for the screen since we can manage the complete set using only one processor, with 2 x 6K DP input, fully genlocked. HELIOS offers full remote control and extensive monitoring, which is paramount for a set like this", continues Kortekaas. "The experience center is an event space, multicam streaming studio for hybrid events, and a Multicam XR studio all-in-one, which we run fully automated; it needs only two persons to run the center."
The main LED display setup consists of a large ROE Visual LED wall, built from Ruby RB2.3 LED panels, completed with a LED floor from Black Marble BM4 LED panels. This wall is flanked on both sides with walls that use eight Epson projectors with 20.000 lumens each to create an immersive environment. Panasonic PTZ cameras are used for all recordings.
In total, ROE Visual supplied over 260 Ruby RB2.3 LED panels to create a canvas of Pixels all powered by a HELIOS LED processor, using fiber connections and Netgear network switches for the data infrastructure.
AV Stumpfl's Pixera media server systems were used to access, combine, play out, and control various content sources, for which all programming was done by Sander De Schrijver, Dave Vos, and Sebastiaan Genz from Bourgonje. Unreal Engine and linear content can all be used in the experience center to allow the presentations to reach a new level of immersive depth. Live content and online meeting platforms are fully integrated so that hybrid events can be streamed live from the experience center in Diemen to audiences or locations worldwide.
The event solution has been fully automated so everyone can control all features in XR settings or even in regular presentation broadcasts without having many technicians operating the system on site. The setup has been designed so that just one or two persons can have complete control of the audio, video, and lighting systems after a short briefing.
