Black Quartz Takes the Stage at Buckingham Palace
CT Deploys Black Quartz For The Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Leek, The Netherlands (12 June 2022) – The celebrations of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service marked a momentous occasion in British history. Creative Technology (CT) was asked to provide technical delivery of the stunning Buckingham Palace projection, and main stage using ROE Visual's Black Quartz LED screens for the BBC's Platinum Party at the Palace celebration.

To seamlessly provide such a large-scale and high-profile event, Creative Technology assembled some of the industry's most skilled engineers to display the stunning content, which was designed and created by NorthHouse Creative, using both projection and LED screen displays,
Based on Stufish's stage design, CT supplied 209sqm of ROE Visual's Black Quartz LED screen to all three main stages, which displayed content by NorthHouse Creative. Live camera feeds from NEP broadcast gave the audience a great view of the show, including performances from Hans Zimmer, Celeste, and The Royal Ballet, as well as words from Her Majesty the Queen, HRH Prince William, and Sir David Attenborough. The LED screens were added to the mesmerising backdrop across Buckingham Palace using 32 high brightness projectors.

In addition to BBC Studios' Platinum Party at the Palace, the Black Quartz LED screens were also used in the lead-up to the event for the Trooping the Colour, the service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's, and the Platinum Jubilee Pageant alongside live camera feeds from NEP broadcast used by the BBC for the television production.
The Black Quartz LED screens are designed as outdoor displays, resulting in brilliant visuals, even in challenging outdoor circumstances. They brought the beautiful content to life for the live audiences as well as the camera feeds.
