Blynk Installs ROE Visual at Manchester Airport
Tax-Free Shopping Experience Enhanced with LED Panels.
Leek, The Netherlands (June 2022) – Leeds-based Blynk delivered a prestigious install job for travel retailer World Duty-Free Group (WDFG) at Manchester Airport, specifying and installing the ROE Visual fixed installation orientated LED panels, Amber and Jasper.
As a digital partner for Dufry, Blynk was commissioned to supply and install all digital displays at Manchester Airport terminal 2 new duty-free stores. The complete installation comprised several bespoke LED solutions across the walkthrough and collection stores. The LED displays include a circular LED display high above the VIP bar and three prominent entrance columns.

For the installation at Manchester Airport, Blynk contacted ROE Visual back in 2019, when the LED platforms Amber and Jasper were just launched. "At that time, those products perfectly fit the brief for the technical requirements of this project", states Neil Muir, Blynk's Managing Director. "We had just begun the installation when COVID landed in Europe, creating serious challenges and delaying the project. So we were thrilled to finally be able to complete the project last summer and see the store open to passengers."
Blynk has extensive experience working with luxury brands. For this project, they installed all the digital displays and audio solutions across the main 1,980sqm walkthrough store and collections stores, thereby working with Dufry throughout the complete process of initial consultations to installation and maintenance.
Using the combination of screen placement and relevant, impactful content, the installed LED displays will guide the customers through the complete store journey, creating an immersive and engaging shopping experience. Blynkincluded several bespoke, custom LED solutions from ROE Visual, including the VIP bar high-level LED ring and three prominent entrance columns.

System integration requires products that combine high-end performance with flexible installation properties. Amber and Jasper are developed as high-end LED products for the AV integration market. These LED panels offer straightforward solutions for fixed installation and boast excellent product quality, guaranteeing a high standard for the displayed visuals.
The Amber LED platform has a native 4K 16:9 panel resolution and is HDR technology ready. Amber offers excellent graphic quality with added greyscales and superb color depth. Jasper is a 500x500mm indoor display platform with 2.6, 3.9 and 5.2mm pixel pitches. The slim-line panel design and high-contrast black face LED will create a display that offers uncompromised picture performance and optimal installation benefits.

"We chose the ROE Visual LED displays for their high-quality LEDs, colour accuracy and impeccable visuals. Another primary consideration was to ensure the LED panels passed strict British Standard requirements concerning flammability and would therefore be approved by the airport authority. Compliance with the strict regulations proved no problem with the ROE Visual LED panels".
With travelling bouncing back to its pre-covid figures, the installation at Manchester Airport is in full use.
